Each team for this intercollegiate event is composed of four players and must play three rounds over three days. After starting on the 12th and finishing Sunday, two teams finished tied for first at 977 each.  The playoff was witnessed by a gallery of local and non-local spectators who were here for good reason.  On the Tega Cay Pine’s par five playoff hole, most if not all of the women were using irons on their second shot and they were not teeing off from the ladies tees.  Lina Cordes ended the sudden death when she sank an eight foot birdie putt to seal the win.

Augusta State University, GA came in third place at 981 and fourth was last year’s winning team, Elon University, NC at 984.  Other participating teams were from St.Mary’s University, TX, Wofford College, High Point University, Charleston Southern, Winthrop, Radford, St. Francis University, PA, Gardner Webb, Belmont, Jackson State, and Old Dominion.
