 Directions from I-40
          (MAP)

Exit  from I-40 onto I-140 west toward Myrtle Beach and Southport.  Travel approximately 2.5 miles to end of I-140 at US 17/421 South. Travel about 3.5 miles. Travel straight over the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge. Just after you see the USS North Carolina at dock, approximately 3 miles after bridge, take Exit for NC 17 South toward Myrtle Beach, and Shallotte. Magnolia Greens Golf Plantation entrance is approximately 3 miles on the right. Turn right at the traffic light at the gate into Magnolia Greens onto Grandiflora Drive. Continue straight for .9 of a mile.

Travel West on NC 17 (Wooster St.) through downtown and cross the bridge over the Cape Fear River. Take Exit for NC 17 South toward Myrtle Beach, and Shallotte. Magnolia Greens Golf Plantation entrance is approximately 3 miles on the right. Turn right at the traffic light at the gate into Magnolia Greens onto Grandiflora Drive. Continue straight for .9 of a mile.

Comments - Designed in 1997 by award winning course architect, Tom Jackson, Magnolia Greens Golf Plantation is a residential community with 27-holes of "always perfect" bent grass and newly surfaced L93 greens.  Located just 5 minutes from historic, downtown Wilmington, NC, Magnolia Greens Golf Plantation received 4 -1/2 stars from Golf Digest and is ranked as a top North Carolina Coastal golf destination by the NC Golf Panel.  Close to Myrtle Beach and the Brunswick Islands, golf in Wilmington is a relaxed activity.  Wilmington golf courses are noted for fair weather, wind, and fun. No matter where you choose to play, you are never more than 20 minutes away from the pristine North Carolina beaches, great restaurants, and the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.  Often overshadowed by Myrtle Beach, outstanding golf courses abound in the Wilmington golf area, and the surrounding towns of Leland, Hampstead, Southport, Oak Island, and Bald Head Island.

Golfers visiting Magnolia Greens need to chose their tee boxes properly to have a fun outing, for the back tees provide a stern test from any 18-hole combination of the three nines. The rating from the tips is a stout 2-over for a scratch golfer and a 134-138 slope, so plenty of challenging shots will present themselves.  Magnolia's 27 holes are vintage Jackson: amoeba style bunkers, and subtlety mounded fairways. Two tiered greens can be found throughout the course. The PGA doesn't choose just any old course for its Tour Qualifiers, which were held here in 1998 and 1999. Magnolia Greens provides the stringent test that the PGA desires.  For traveling or vacationing golfers to the Wilmington golf area, Magnolia Greens Golf Plantation has made a series of one and two bedroom golf villas available for 2 nights or more.
