| Birkdale Golf Club Hole 5 Par 5 Handicap 3 Gold/Blue/ White/Green - 569/520/489/433 yards This is a memorable hole. The tee shot has no trouble except woods on both sides. The 2nd shot however has the pond on the right with the green behind it. Be forewarned that the fairway slopes towards the pond and any lay-up with a wood or long iron will kick towards the pond. Going for it in two is almost unthinkable because the narrow green has sand traps behind and a stone bunker with water in front. | Next-hole Exit |
