Kiawah Island Golf Resort 8th Annual National Club Championship March 5 – 8, 2007

Tim Fleming of Quail Creek Golf and Country Club (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma), Eagle’s Nest Country Club (Somerset, Kentucky) and Hershey Country Club (Hershey, Pennsylvania) are the big winners in the 2007 National Club Championship presented by Club Car at Kiawah Island Golf Resort

KIAWAH ISLAND, SC – Hershey Country Club of Hershey, Pennsylvania took Team Net honors for the second year in a row, Eagle Creek Country Club of Somerset, Kentucky took Team Gross honors and Tim Fleming of Quail Creek Golf and Country Club out of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma took Individual Pro honors in the 8th Annual National Club Championship, present by Club Car held at Kiawah Island Golf Resort March 5-8.

The 72-hole stroke play event was held on four of Kiawah Island Golf Resort’s championship courses: Pete Dye’s world-famous Ocean Course, Jack Nicklaus’ Turtle Point, Gary Player’s Cougar Point and Tom Fazio’s Osprey Point.

The event started Sunday evening with an opening banquet/cocktail party featuring a Carolina Lowcountry oyster feast. The actual tournament ran Monday through Thursday with teams playing one round on each of the four courses followed each night by a cocktail/scoring happy hour. Events ended with Thursday afternoon’s awards luncheon where results are tallied and prizes distributed.
