Anderson Creek to Host ESPN Challenge Local Qualifier

SPRING LAKE, N.C. – Anderson Creek Golf Club will host a local qualifier for the ESPN National Golf Challenge, a two-person, better-ball tournament designed to find America’s best twosome in both gross and net divisions.

The qualifier takes place Saturday, May 7, with a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start. The top gross and net teams at Anderson Creek will advance to regional finals. The top teams at regional finals advance to the 2005 national finals, to be held in November in Las Vegas. The national finals will be broadcast on ESPN2.

Teams may consist of male or female players. There is a maximum allowable handicap of 24 strokes, and all handicaps must be verified prior to play.

The entry fee is $75 per person and includes cart and green fees, range balls and prizes. All participants get a dozen Callaway HX Tour golf balls and a subscription to Golf Magazine.
